Sprint burndown graph: How is it update?

Added by Isabelle Andrade over 9 years ago

Hello.

First of all, thanks for making this plugin available. It's really great!

We are currently using the plugin in a big PoC project. But, for some reason, we can't seem to be able to update the sprint burndown graph.

How is this graph updated? I've created tasks and updated their estimated effort and done effort, but still, the graph is not updated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you all for your time and attention.

Hi Isabelle,

I am trying to figure out the same thing myself. One of the things I have managed to establish is that you can enter Done Effort for a Sprint in the Project Settings->Sprints->Edit effort.
The numbers you enter there appears to influence the Done effort, but it still does not yield me a useful burndown graph.

Have you managed to figure out how the values for pending effort are updated? They don't appear to change when I close issues with pending effort associated with them.

Project Settings->Sprints->Edit effort this is the place where you estimate the man power you have at the start of the sprint, this is only for the estimation line in the burn-down graph, it doesn't affect the actual spending time. Pending time has to be edited everyday in the sprint for all tasks in your sprint board, this will give you the pending efforts required to meet the sprint goal at the end of the sprint.

Every time you edit pending time for the issues of the sprint board they will be logged, however when you open that issue again, pending effort will be blank to give you the chance to enter a new value as you are going through the sprint. (maybe it should give the last value, but that's how it works it seems).

Regards,

Hassan

Thanks for the explanation - had the same question. Workflow seems a bit odd - but ok...
