The Pending effort is not auto-subtracted when I input the log time (actually done time)

Hi,
The Pending effort is not auto-subtracted when I input the log time (actually done time).
So the sprint burndown chart draws incorrectly (the pending effort line is always a horizontal line on top).
Must I update manually the Pending effort every time I have done a task or at the end of the day? or is there any way to auto-substract?
