User story #817
Allow non-parented subtasks
Description
The way that some people utilize their Scrum (or ways that people utilize Kanban) is that they have User Stories and Defects traverse lanes, instead of their children tasks, without a start lane that lists the parent task. Please allow non-parented tasks, by only showing the first lane (the parent task lane,) if a parent tracker has been selected. Otherwise, this lane will not show, but all the other lanes by issue status will show. Also, if there are no parent tasks, the board buttons will be for adding new child tasks.
Currently, if the user unselects the parent lane, the whole board will not show.

- Tracker changed from To do to User story
I'm not able to understand your proposal, please add a sketch with your proposal (a draw in a paper is enough).

It's a little difficult to sketch out because I have uninstalled the plugin until it fits our needs.
Essentially, I would like to be able to choose a subtask from the subtask list in the plugin administration, without choosing a parent.
This would mean that there is no "parent" left column, and subtasks exist in the other columns.

Current State: [[http://i.imgur.com/exHhqZt.png]]
User Stories in yellow, Tasks in blue.
I do NOT want to show Tasks on the board. I want to show User Stories on the board.
I want the Yellow User Stories to appear where the blue Tasks are.
With this configuration change: [[http://i.imgur.com/WHvsn9B.png]]
I would like the result to be something like this: [[http://i.imgur.com/A1eqH3U.jpg]]

- Status changed from New to Rejected
This is not how I want to evolve the plugin, sorry :(
