For me it really feels confusing that based on the tracker, you have to create a backlog. We use the tracker as it was originally intended; Bugfixes, Improvements and Features.
I would rather see a backlog on status. We added a new status "accepted" in which we feel the issue is ready to be handled. I would like to create the backlog based on that.
We also have a status to indicate the issue was correctly implemented, called "verified". Would be nice that based on the status, we see that an issue is finished.
In progress, feedback etc are statuses we use to indicate the issue is ongoing.
